Twisted Pair Adds .NET and Linux to WAVE SDK

Company Broadens Unified Communications Developer Opportunities with Support for Linux Engine and .NET (News - Alert) APIs

Seattle, Washington, USA May 27, 2008 Twisted Pair Solutions (www.twistpair.com), a pioneer in unified communications software built to open standards, today announced it has expanded its developer program with the beta availability of a new Linux engine and .NET API support. The new SDK offers the best approach to quickly delivering interoperable communications applications, allowing developers to leverage the power of WAVE (News - Alert), a best-of-breed communication framework that offers unmatched reliability, flexibility, scalability and manageability. Widely deployed by private and public organizations worldwide, WAVE is the industrys only software-based and SDK-optimized unified communications solution.

This new SDK capability completes our developer ecosystem, allowing both Windows and Linux developers to build applications for WAVE, a framework widely proven in the most rigorous communications environments, said Tom Guthrie, President and CEO at Twisted Pair Solutions (News - Alert). Were excited to launch this beta and allow the development community to develop and quickly bring to market best-of-breed voice applications.

WAVE powers some of the worlds most advanced VoIP applications with a highly secure and flexible solution for unified group communications. Using standard IP networks as the unifying medium, WAVE enables a multitude of traditionally disparate communications systems such as radios, analog and new IP phone systems, PCs, PDAs and proprietary devices to all interoperate seamlessly. Twisted Pairs distinct software-based approach to interoperability allows organizations to leverage their existing hardware resources for an affordable unified communications solution.

Unlike closed hardware-based communications offerings, the WAVE SDK allows developers to leverage the power and flexibility of a unified communications platform thats optimized for the harshest environments in the world. Moreover, according to solution developer By Light, the WAVE SDK hides the complexity typically associated with an interoperable VoIP solution and enables developers to bring their own products to market more quickly. Leveraging the Linux SDK has enabled us to meet our customers requirements for Radio over IP integration into standards-based unified communications networks with our TRICS solution, said Mel Marker, Director, Product Development at By Light.

The WAVE Solution Developer Program provides developers with everything needed to try, build and sell customized solutions that leverage the power of WAVE unified group communications.
