[January 09, 2006] Turkey has a new leadership platform Tweet (Turkish Daily News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Web entrepreneur Bulent THORNenver created a new leadership development initiative that primarily aims to share the experience of Turkish leaders with young people. An Internet site sharing the experiences of a wide range of Turkish business leaders, www.Turklider.org , was introduced at a recent press event at the Proje 4L Contemporary Art Museum in the upscale Levent district of Istanbul. THORNenver described the transfer of experience from Turkish leaders to youth as the purpose of his project. The new Web site includes commentaries, observations, opinions, ideas and memories from leaders in the fields of sports, politics, art, industry and the working world in general. THORNenver opened the session by stressing Turkey's need for young leaders. "We are responsible for raising young leaders in every area and every subject," he said. "We need to create opportunities for them. I believe that Turklider.org will provide an important platform for sharing valuable perspectives from established leaders." The site takes an interactive approach. Users can, for example, create their own page on the site to share their individual perspectives and experiences. Firms and companies giving support to the leadership initiative include: Microsoft Turkey, HP Turkey, PBS Data Processing, SAY Agency, SFS-MAN, Sabancy Telecom and Capitol Public Relations.
