Tunisian Post Awarded 2010 World Summit Award for Mobile Content


Tunis, Dec 13, 2010 (Tunisia Online/All Africa Global Media via COMTEX) -- The Tunisian Post was recently awarded the 2010 World Summit Award for Mobile Contents (WSA-Mobile) which honors the most outstanding contents in mobile telephony.

The World Summit Award (WSA) aims to select and promote the world's best e-content and most innovative ICT applications.

The prize was created by the World Summit on the Information Society jointly with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Development.



The WSA-Mobile grand jury honored the most innovative contents among 420 products from close to 100 UN member countries.

The WSA-mobile awards honor the most outstanding content thanks to different criteria set for this distinction including quality, readability, accessibility, functionality, inter-activity, conception, multimedia utilization and design of contents.


The Tunisian Post was honored for its "m-Post" which is a platform offering a public postal service via cell phones informing customers, private individuals or enterprises, about the various financial operations carried out on their postal accounts.

The Tunisian Post received the award at the Awards Gala Dinner held from December 7 to 8, 2010 in Abu Dhabi.
