TraceSecurity Reports 2014 Momentum Expands Client Base to 2,000 Customers

TraceSecurity, a leader in cloud-based IT governance, risk and compliance (GRC) management solutions, today announced that momentum the company has gained throughout 2014 is fueling 2015 to be a year for unprecedented growth. Expected growth is attributed to not only the company's cloud-based software solution, TraceCSO, but also the public disclosure of security breaches, and the value that TraceCSO brings to its partner network.

Organizations are committing to remain secure and are allocating the budgets necessary to do so. Data security remains a top priority and top spending category for security, with 36% of security decision-makers at organizations with 20 or more employees planning to increase spending for data security from 2014 to 2015… states "The Cybercriminal's Prize: Your Customer Data and Competitive Advantage" report published by Forrester Research (News - Alert), Inc., August 6, 2014. The report continues to say that protecting data - be it customer, employee, or company - is a corporate social responsibility and is vital to an organization's continued success and growth. Failure to protect this data can usher in a variety of variable costs.

"We are seeing IT GRC adoption rates soar. The recent breaches, such as the Sony and Home Depot attacks, are providing even more support for organizations to ensure their proprietary and customer data is secure, regardless of the cost," said Peter Stewart, TraceSecurity president and CEO. "TraceCSO positions TraceSecurity and its partners to be the answer for any organization that wants to secure their sensitive and proprietary data. Because TraceCSO is a SaaS (News - Alert) solution, TraceCSO's full suite of integrated information security and compliance capabilities are accessible on-demand through the software's cloud-based interface, and partners can also leverage the software as their business development platform and gateway for unprecedented insight into their customers' IT GRC needs."

New enhancements to the popularproduct were added throughout 2014. In April, the company announced automated patch management capabilities, then followed in September announcing TraceCSO's integration with the Information Shield Common Policy Library (CPL). As a result of these and other accomplishments, GRC analyst firm GRC 20/20 in October honored TraceSecurity with a 2014 GRC Value Award in the IT GRC Management category for the company's real-world implementation of TraceCSO that delivered significant ROI and measurable value for IT GRC strategy, processes and technology. In addition, the company signed more than 250 new customers in 2014, saw its customer retention rate hit a record 96 percent and expanded its footprint into 15 vertical markets with the largest adoptions in healthcare, legal and higher education. The TraceSecurity Partner Program grew to more than 60 partners and can be credited as a significant source for company growth. Key personnel additions included the hire of Ashley Swanson to VP of Marketing, Ryan Castle to VP of Technology and Mike Carpenter to VP of Channel Sales.

To prepare for 2015, TraceSecurity hired key personnel in all departments of the organization and will use those resources to expand channel support, development capacity, and integration partnerships through marketing, channels and product development. As a result, TraceCSO will provide even more capabilities to deliver on the market's need for simplified information security and compliance management. Click here for open career opportunities.
