ThousandEyes Closes Fiscal 2015 with Strong Growth and Impressive Customer Adoption

ThousandEyes, the company redefining network performance management, today announced a year of rapid growth as the company closed its fiscal 2015 on January 31 with a 180% year-over-year increase in bookings. The company's success was fueled by organizations looking to gain visibility into the performance of their modern network environment, which spans both public and private networks. New customers include Constant Contact (News - Alert), Github, Good Technology and Shopify, as well as 3 of the top 5 Fortune 500 companies and 4 of the top 6 U.S. banks.

"Fiscal 2015 was an outstanding year as we continued to deliver on our product innovation, grow our company and build our impressive list of customers," said Mohit Lad, ThousandEyes CEO and Co-Founder. "Our 180% increase in bookings reflects our customers' desire to resolve the challenges inherent in hybrid enterprise environments that rely on the Internet as the backbone communications network for their mission-critical business applications."

Lad continued: "We are seeing great demand, particularly in the technology and financial services markets, from companies where application downtime is unacceptable. ThousandEyes provides unconstrained visibility beyond a company's own network perimeter, so our customers can look beyond the confines of their own technologies to more quickly troubleshoot issues and resolve problems."

Customer Growth

ThousandEyes entered the year serving a range of leading customers, including Box (News - Alert), DocuSign, eBay, Equinix, Evernote, ServiceNow, Twitter, Zendesk and Zynga. Building on this foundation, ThousandEyes added to this list with companies such as Constant Contact, Dreamhost, Elance-oDesk, Github, Good Technology, Prosper Marketplace, Shopify, as well as 3 of the top 5 Fortune 500 companies and 4 of the top 6 U.S. banks.

Strategic Growth

During 2014, ThousandEyes closed an additional $20 million in funding and made executive appointments including naming Sanjay Mehta as Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Staiger as Chief Financial Officer, and Anthony Narducci as Vice President of Sales. The company expanded its global reach with a new European office in London and established a strategic partnership with Salesforce.

Product Innovation

ThousandEyes delivered a number of product innovations in 2014. The company added highly customizable reporting to support the use of ThousandEyes for longer-term analytics; launched ThousandEyes Lite to bring the value of ThousandEyes performance management to the masses; and included data feeds for 18 of the top SaaS applications, such as NetSuite (News - Alert), Microsoft Office 365, Salesforce, Workday, Facebook, Twitter and more. ThousandEyes is also delivering stronger API and integration support to enable it to become part of enterprise workflows, and expanded global Cloud Agent locations by more than 50% to gather more data from key international markets such as China and Australia.

Industry Accolades

ThousandEyes earned numerous accolades throughout the year, gaining increasing industry recognition. The company won the Barclays Technology Open Innovation Challenge Award; was named in Forbes list of Hottest Startups of 2014; was named a Global 250 Top Private Company winner; won TechTarget SearchNetworking's Network Innovation Award; was named a 'Cool Vendor' in Application Performance Monitoring and IT Operations Analytics, 2014 by Gartner; and was named a "Vendor to Watch" by Enterprise Management Associates.

"As enterprise IT evolves toward mobile devices and cloud-based services it still falls on the IT team to monitor performance and remediate problems, even while more and more of the connectivity is not owned or managed by the enterprise," said Peter Christy, Research Director, Networking at 451 Research (News - Alert). "To be successful requires using new approaches that provide a holistic view across private and public networks."
