'Tele2 Russia to bid for frequencies in Siberia, east'


(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Russian mobile operator Tele2 Russia plans to bid for 900 MHz and 1,800 MHZ frequencies in the eastern regions of Russia. Russian regulator Roskomnadzor will auction out the frequencies for the Ural, Far-East, Siberia and the Volga districts, RBC Daily reported, adding that 32 licences will be distributed. Tele2 Russia will bid against the major Russian mobile operators, MTS, Megafon, and Vimpelcom.
