Nov 21, 2008 (10Meters.com via COMTEX) --
Tekelec, a provider of multimedia session control and network
intelligence, announced that it will host the last of a four-part
Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) educational webinar series on
Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. EST.
The session, according to the company, focusing on SIP security,
services and future use cases, will be led by Jiri Kuthan, assistant
vice president of engineering for SIP technologies and renowned SIP
expert. Kuthan led the development of a SIP routing engine, the SIP
Express Router (SER), as co-founder and chief technology officer (CTO)
of iptelorg, which Tekelec acquired in 2005.
The event caps Tekelec's first series of educational SIP webinars,
which educated hundreds of global attendees about SIP architecture.
Based on the events' success and positive feedback, Tekelec will also
offer a 2009 series, with the first webinar scheduled on March 18, the
company said.
