Teen-Tech News Pt. II: No Ordinary People Allowed

Guys, are your abs impressive? Gals, are your breasts? And is your face so attractive that you stand out from the majority? An online community based entirely on visual appearance officially launched today. Want to belong online? Get pretty.

There must be a high school-borne superficial-popularity analogy somewhere in this concept.

Elite online community BeautifulPeople.net officially launched in the United States today. The community, according to the site, "introduces beautiful people to truly beautiful people. It is a meeting place which is reserved for people who, because of their attractive appearance and personal qualities, stand out from the majority."

Unlike online communities such as Friendster, MySpace, and Thefacebook, this networking Web site is, for all intents and purposes, invitation-only.
Based entirely on visual introduction, the site's homepage offers this welcome: "Dear Guest, Welcome to the most beautiful and coveted network in the US."

"Networking for beautiful likeminded people," criteria for presence on the site include the following: a recent photograph (preferably as sexy as possible without being pornographic, it seems) and body statistics in profile.

The applicant's photo and profile are posted for three days, during which time other members rate candidates of the opposite sex. Every member can see a photograph of every other member and potential member.

The decision to allow applicants entry to the exclusive online social club lies with its members and their three-day grading process results. The majority vote is final. Although, if you don't meet the grade, you can continue to try as many as 50 times presuming, of course, that you have in the mean time been working out to get fit, improving the way your biceps look when sleeveless or the way your breasts look when bikinied.
