Takl Completes National Rollout with 35,000 Providers Coast to Coast for Its On-Demand Home Services App

Takl, Inc., the national leader in on-demand home services and maker of the app-based mobile platform that connects providers and users to perform small jobs and chores at pre-set prices, today announced it has completed its initial national rollout with over 35,000 providers available for its on-demand services in 61 metropolitan markets across the U.S. After test marketing its on-demand service in Nashville and Dallas during the fall of 2016, the company began adding providers and rolling out its on-demand services regionally across the U.S. during 2017.

Now that Takl offers its popular on-demand service in more than 61 metropolitan markets in 39 states, it will accelerate its growth in these markets with focused marketing initiatives and campaigns. Takl will continue to add new cities as certain provider thresholds are met in these various metropolitan regions. Providers can sign up by downloading the Takl app or going to Takl.com.

The Takl app is the only on-demand, pre-priced mobile platform for both business and home use with small jobs for $400 or less. Takl's user-friendly functions now include even greater flexibility for scheduling and selecting a service appointment. The app offers users 4 flexible options for scheduling their service needs: Now (in about an hour), Today, Future, and Flexible. Takl app users generally have a provider available for selection within a matter of minutes.

The Takl app has a cumulative rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars in the App Store, which is well above the ratings of similar apps.

The app also allows users to create their own "custom job" with their own set price, and providers can either accept the custom job as-is or submit their own pre-priced bid in a real-time auction format. Even after the original job is in progress, the app allows for task customization and additional add-on hores by the user once the provider arrives onsite.

Takl's on-demand app connects self-employed providers, who have passed background checks, with both home and business users who need chores and small jobs completed. Popular chores and small jobs include lawn care, house or office cleaning, junk removal, small repairs, and miscellaneous user-designed "custom jobs."

"Takl is now one of the largest on-demand home service apps with its base of 35,000 providers who can offer immediate help for users with small chores and jobs with our easy-to-use app," said Takl Chairman and CEO Willis Johnson. "We look forward to continuing the growth of our nationwide service with additional providers and cities in 2018."

ABOUT TAKL:

Nashville-based Takl was founded in August 2015, and its CEO and Chairman, Willis Johnson, is a seasoned start-up veteran who has been named a regional "Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year." His company, Copart (CPRT), was ranked at the top of Deloitte's (News - Alert) 2015 "The Exceptional 100" list of companies, and his "rags to riches story," which has been published in his autobiography entitled Junk to Gold, took him from owning a single auto scrap yard to heading up a multi-billion dollar global business.

Under Johnson's leadership, Copart revolutionized the auto auction industry through the development of an Internet auto auction platform that connects buyers and sellers in real-time bidding. Similarly, the Takl platform connects home service providers of all kinds to other people needing on-demand help with small chores and tasks utilizing its proprietary mobile technology.

Fellow Takl co-founders include Greg McCollum, who has over 30 years of experience as a general contractor in the Nashville area, and Steven Cohan, who teamed up with Johnson 25 years ago in the early days of Copart and currently serves on Copart's board of directors. Other key members of the senior management team include Senator Jack Johnson, who serves as current Chairman of the Tennessee Commerce and Labor Committee, and Lee Crisp, former President of Pepsi MidAmerica and holder of 45 technology patents applied throughout the beverage industry.
