Sylantro and Citel Announce Hosted PBX/IP Centrex Interoperability; Partnership Enables Enterprise End Users to Obtain Benefits of Sylantro's Synergy Hosted IP Platform While Leveraging Existing PBX Handset Infrastructure

CAMPBELL, Calif. & SEATTLE --(Business Wire)-- May 16, 2006 -- Sylantro Systems Corp., the leading developer of software solutions for hosted VoIP applications and services for business, consumer, and wireless customers, and Citel, the VoIP Migration Company(TM), today announced interoperability of Citel's SIP Handset Gateway on the Sylantro Synergy platform. The combined Sylantro / Citel solution enables enterprise end users to obtain the next-generation features and applications of Sylantro's Synergy platform, while at the same time leveraging existing PBX handsets, wiring, and LAN infrastructure with Citel's SIP Handset Gateway.

"Service providers understand the long term value of a feature rich hosted voice platform, such as Sylantro's Synergy, to grow their base of enterprise end user customers," said John Weald, chief technology officer at Sylantro. "This solution allows service providers to migrate enterprise end user customers onto our platform quickly and with little business disruption."

Service providers deploying Sylantro's Synergy platform for Hosted PBX/IP Centrex services provide a broadband connection to the enterprise premise, which is connected to Citel's SIP Handset Gateway through a router. Existing PBX handsets, wiring and LAN infrastructure remain in place, saving on cost and minimizing business disruption. After installation, existing PBX handsets are supported by Sylantro's call control, allowing service providers to deliver next-generation features and applications through the existing infrastructure.

"One of the primary inhibitors enterprises face when deploying VoIP is the cost of their existing PBX infrastructure," said Leigh Fatzinger, vice president of marketing for Citel. "With Citel's SIP Handset Gateway, service providers have the ability to overcome this common objection and more quickly deploy Sylantro's robust Hosted PBX services and applications."
