STEM Premier Announces Partnership with Midlands Technical CollegeSTEM Premier today announced a partnership with Midlands Technical College (MTC) to connect students with businesses. The online STEM Premier program will promote economic growth and access for students and businesses to match skills to job opportunities. The MTC partnership includes all campus locations and continuing education students. The STEM Premier platform enables students, ages 13 and up, to build personal profiles showcasing their skills and talents so colleges, technical colleges and companies can view the profiles and connect directly with students to share opportunities such as internships, scholarships and job openings in the STEM fields and beyond. The online service allows high school and college students to market themselves and optimize their "personal brand" and guide them toward their education and career goals. STEM Premier was founded in South Carolina in 2013 and has since expanded nationally - middle school, high school and college students from all 50 states are actively utilizing the platform. Strategic partnerships with organizations like ACT strengthen the mutual goal of identifying STEM-interested and STEM-capable talent at an earlier age and exposing them to the real opportunities out there. STEM Premier is actively collaborating with school districts, post-secondary institutions and businesses across the country to provide an innovatve way to connect with the pipeline of talent and increase the amount of students entering academic and technical STEM careers.
