'Spain tops 4.7 mln mobile internet users AcaeaEURoe study'Jul 06, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- The use of mobile internet services in Spain has increased by 30 percent in the first quarter. Spain reached a mobile internet customer base of 4.7 million users at end-March, according to a study by Nielsen Online reported by Noticias.com. Google was Spain's top online search property between January and March, followed by MSN/Windows Live, Yahoo!, Telefonica, Terra, Facebook and Marca.com web portals. The number of visited web pages increased by 12.3 percent during the first quarter to over 10 accesses per person, with an average connection time of 12 minutes per user. The study also shows that Spaniards mainly use their mobile phones to send SMS (73.5%), followed by MMS (21.5%), access the internet (10%) and download games and ringtones (9% and 8.5%, respectively).
