SPAIN : Launch of Acer CloudMobile in third quarter of 2012 [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Acer will announce its first smartphone CloudMobile in Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. It will start on February 27th and extend to March 1st. The device is expected to launch globally by the third quarter of 2012.


CloudMobile will be equipped with Acer Cloud , the company s cloud computing service. The device is set to run on Android 4.1 mobile platform. It will be powered by a dual core processor that clocks at a rate of 1.5 GHz.

Acer s handset would feature a 4.3- inch touch screen with high definition capabilities. For network connectivity, CloudMobile will support HSPA+ technology while the device is being used in 3G enabled domains.


The device contains all essential utilities within its board, so as to help the usersin the day-to-day activities.

Cloud computing is the most striking feature of the device. It is intervened through Acer Cloud, a personal cloud computing service from Acer.

Acer Cloud enables to refer the audio, video or document files that you had already stored in the device through your PC.

According to the company, Acer Cloud could arrive in North America and China by the first half of 2012, and it would later be released worldwide.It will be Globally present in the fourth quarter of this year.

Acer hasn t revealed about the pricing of the CloudMobile.
