Smarsh Introduces Developers Program and Content Ingestion API

Smarsh®, the leading provider of hosted archiving solutions for compliance and e-discovery, today introduced the Smarsh Developers program, which provides API (application programming interface) access to select software developers and partners looking to leverage the unique capabilities of the Smarsh Archiving Platform.

Launching with a Content Ingestion API and SDK (software development kit), the Smarsh Developers program fills the gap in the current marketplace for third-party communications software that does not have native archiving functionality. Partners can now directly ingest their content into the Smarsh Archiving Platform, enabling them to satisfy the needs of their customers in regulated or litigious industries with a leading supervision and e-discovery solution.

Content ingested through the new API is archived alongside customers' email, social media, mobile/text messaging or other supported content in the Smarsh Archiving Platform, making it available for search, review and production.

"We believe that a standard content ingestion API and a program like the one we're launching now in the enterprise information archiving marketplace is long overdue," said Steve Marsh, Smash CEO and founder. "Partners can now promote their products to a broader market with a solution for archiving that eliminates compliance roadblocks. Customers have more flexibility in choosing the communication and collaboration tools they want, paired with the compliance and e-discovery functionality that they need."

The roster of Smarsh Developers program partners is growing, initially launching with Brosix, 17a-4 and Instant Technologies. To learn more about the Smarsh Developers Program and apply, please visit www.smarsh.com/developers.
