SK-EarthLink Names Executive Team and Announces HeadquartersLOS ANGELES, June 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SK-EarthLink, a joint venture formed in March between SK Telecom and EarthLink , today unveiled its senior executive team and announced its headquarters in Westwood, located in West Los Angeles, California. Fitting its mission as no ordinary voice-centric wireless operator, SK-EarthLink's offices are located at the crossroads of technology and entertainment, amongst some of the world's largest media and tech companies. SK-EarthLink currently operates the EarthLink Wireless service line and will announce a new 3G MVNO brand in the coming months. SK-EarthLink's team is directed by visionary Chief Executive Officer, Sky Dayton. Previously, Mr. Dayton was the founder, founding CEO and chairman of EarthLink, the largest independent Internet service provider, and Boingo Wireless, the leading Wi-Fi network aggregator. Comprised of seasoned, high profile industry figures from the wireless and technology worlds, the SK-EarthLink executive team will be responsible for the development and rollout of the MVNO's wireless brands. Along with Mr. Dayton, the executive team includes: Dr. Wonhee Sull -- Chief Operating Officer Dr. Sull is charged with developing and overseeing the delivery of products and services which meet the company's business strategy. Dr. Sull most recently served as chief technology officer for SK Telecom's wireless data business, where he was responsible for launching numerous commercial services ranging from multimedia to m-commerce, for developing the company's real-time billing and mediation environment, as well as for integrating online and wireless services into a single experience. Dr. Sull is largely credited for making SK Telecom the most technologically advanced mobile operator in the world. Dr. Sull's team includes: Brent Cobb -- Executive Vice President, Strategy & Business Development Mr. Cobb directs strategic planning for handsets and services, as well as managing all handset, network, content and third party relationships for the company. He previously served as vice president of EarthLink Wireless and was responsible for building the company's wireless services and applications for mobile devices and laptops. At EarthLink, he was also an architect of the SK-EarthLink joint venture. Jay Lee -- Vice President of Products & Services Mr. Lee served in a number of capacities at SK Telecom, helping to drive to some of its most successful product launches, such as the "TTL" service, which grew to more than 2 million subscribers in one year. As head of the MVNO Task Force at SK Telecom, Mr. Lee was also an architect of the SK-EarthLink joint venture. Inho Shin -- Vice President of Technology While working under Dr. Sull at SK Telecom, Mr. Shin launched advanced handsets and world-leading wireless systems. He is regarded as one of the wireless industry's best technology executives. Terry Boyle -- VP of Operations Mr. Boyle previously served as vice president of operations at PeoplePC, a company that he built from a start-up to over one million subscribers. Rounding out the senior executive team reporting to SK-EarthLink CEO, Sky Dayton: Todd Tappin -- Chief Financial Officer Mr. Tappin oversees the finance, legal and administrative functions of SK-EarthLink. Prior to joining the company, he served as CFO of Overture, the pioneer of paid search on the Internet, which he took public in 1999 and co-led the sale of the company to Yahoo! in 2003 for $1.8 billion. Before that, he was SVP of finance for News Corporation -- Twentieth Century Fox, where he was responsible for all finance, strategic planning and business development for the Home Entertainment and Interactive Divisions, as well as general manager of its Home Entertainment Division in Canada. Stuart Redsun -- EVP/Marketing Mr. Redsun is responsible for creating demand and preference for SK-EarthLink's wireless brands. Redsun's duties also include the company's segmentation activities, all brand marketing communications and customer loyalty programs. Previously, as head of worldwide brand marketing at Motorola, Redsun led the worldwide creative launch of the Moto RAZR as well as the development of Motorola's retail presentation programs. Prior to Motorola, Redsun spent 11 years in senior marketing and advertising positions at Nike. He is credited with building Nike's retailer advertising program and the re-positioning of the Nike Golf business. Ali Zanjani -- EVP/Sales & Distribution Mr. Zanjani is charged with building SK-EarthLink's sales and distribution channels. Previously, as vice president of sales and distribution for Cox Communications, Zanjani helped bring innovative distribution and sales solutions to the cable industry, as well as for creating a successful sales culture at Cox. Prior to Cox Communications, Zanjani served as president of consumer retail at Sprint PCS, where he was responsible for 85% of the company's annual sales. Zanjani helped build Sprint into the largest organically grown wireless company in the nation, with 20 million subscribers and over $16 Billion in annual revenues.
