ShoreTel expands used of Parallocity software analysis tool

Nov 16, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- Parallocity said that ShoreTel, Inc. (NASDAQ: SHOR) has expanded its use of Parallocity's ZVM-U dynamic software analysis tool to provide automated defect detection and code analytics during development of its unified communications platform.

"As a runtime tool ZVM-U is unique in the industry because it's fast and accurate with minimal code bloat. It scales from use on small devices like our telephone handsets to large, complex applications like those that run on our backend servers," said Vivek Janakiraman, manager, switch call control software at ShoreTel. "We've integrated ZVM-U into our regression test environment for both products where it's now an integral part of our software development and quality assurance process." Parallocity Zeus Virtual Machine Dynamic Analysis Framework automates the detection of hard-to-find concurrency defects, memory errors, and memory leaks while providing comprehensive analytics for highly complex, single- and multi-threaded applications, loadable kernel modules, and device drivers.
