Shipment of Huawei Soft Switch Tops 1 BillionSHENZHEN, Dec 16, 2008 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX) -- Chinese telecom equipment maker Huawei Technologies said recently that shipment of its IP structure mobile soft switches had topped 1 billion, which had been widely accepted by telecom carriers in over 100 countries. Based on its All IP strategy, Huawei first launched the IP structure-based mobile soft switching solutions in 2003. And it set up the first 3G soft switching station in United Arab Emirates in the same year. One year later, it built up the world's first IP mobile soft switching network in China. Thus far Huawei Technologies has reached long-term strategic partnership with some major telecom operators around the world such as China Mobile, China Unicom, Vodafone, Orange, KPN, Telenor, Reliance Telecom, Etisalat, MTN, and so on.
