Shenango Campus Hires William Dungee as New Business and Financial Director

(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SHARON, Pa., July 29 -- Pennsylvania State University at Shenango issued the following news: Penn State Shenango has hired William H. Dungee II as its new Director of Finance and Business effective July 1, 2014.

Dungee comes to Penn State Shenango after seven-and-a-half years with the Farrell Area School District where he was hired as its fiscal manager and then promoted to district business manager and board secretary. In his latter position, Dungee oversaw the district's financial operation as well as supervised the school's food service, facilities, technology, and its general operations, including payroll, human resource, and purchasing.

"We are very happy to have found such a qualified applicant whose previous experience in finance and business matches our campus needs," stated Campus Director Dr. Jo Anne Carrick. "This is an important administrative position, and I am confident that we've chosen the right person for this job." Dungee graduated from Youngstown State University with an MBA. He completed his undergraduate studies in managerial economics with a minor in communication from Allegheny College after graduating from Farrell High School.

"Several of my family members attended Penn State, so I have a lot of Penn State pride," stated Dungee. "When this position became open, that, along with my long-time goal of working in higher education, and the fact that my experience matched the job's requirements, I knew this job was the perfect fit for me and for my family." Outside of work, Dungee believes in helping out his native community of Farrell where he is an assistant high school football coach. In addition to being active in his church, in 2007, he established the men's group RUFF--Real-men Unified Faith and Fellowship. The group meets regularly to discuss life issues and how to be better men for their families and their community. In 2014, Dungee was named to the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce's 40 under 40 successful people.

Dungee and his wife Ericka, who teaches kindergarten at Farrell Area School District, have two young children, Christian 4, and Zoey 2.

Prior to Dungee's appointment, Richard Lenzi from Hubbard, Ohio, had been the campus' director of Business and Finance for 30 years before he retired on June 30.
