Sendmail launches Sentrion Cloud Services

Sendmail Inc, a provider of secure e-mail and messaging
infrastructures, announced on Tuesday (17 March) the availability of
its new managed e-mail infrastructure services with the introduction of
Sendmail Sentrion Cloud Services.
According to the company, Sentrion Cloud Services offers organisations
a cost-effective SaaS (software-as-a-service) solution to filter
inbound e-mails for spam and viruses before they are managed and
regulated by the on-premises messaging infrastructure solutions. In
addition, the company's on-premises Sentrion Message Processors provide
key e-mail-backbone functions such as data loss prevention,
directory-driven message routing and content policy enforcement.
The addition of Sentrion Cloud Services to the company's portfolio of
messaging infrastructure solutions gives enterprise customers the
choice to use Sentrion Message Processor appliances for inbound spam
protection and their internal policy management layer, or the ability
to architect a hybrid-hosted solution that meets their requirements.
The solution offers the following advantages: reducing the
infrastructure required for managing spam on-premises; anti-spam, IP
reputation and zero-hour anti-virus protection; anti-phishing
technology based upon heuristic scanners and URL filtering; full
attachment filtering; TLS encryption support; LDAP directory
synchronisation for end-user provisioning; off-premise spam quarantine;
web-based end-user quarantine access with daily digest; administrative
and end-user policies for white and blacklists; as well as flexible
policies for filtering spam based on country and language.
