SeaChange International Partners with AirTies to Deliver Next-Generation In-Home Wireless Video and Data Services to International Markets


ACTON, Mass. & ISTANBUL, Turkey --(Business Wire)-- SeaChange International (NASDAQ: SEAC), the leading provider of software applications, services and solutions for IPTV, Video-On-Demand (VOD), digital advertising, and content acquisition, today announced that it is partnering with AirTies, a strategic international developer of wireless networking and broadband Internet access solutions with a current installed base of 2.6 million residential gateways.



SeaChange and AirTies are partnering to deliver next generation in-home wireless distribution of high-quality video and data services. The resulting solutions will expedite the deployment of advanced IPTV services by eliminating truck rolls and quickly enabling televisions and personal computers with sophisticated, wireless data and video applications within each home.

Based on this partnership, the initial deployments will be made in Turkey and Russia. SeaChange will continue to work with AirTies on projects in various countries including Greece, Ukraine, India, Brazil, Germany, and Israel.

TV Navigator

TV Navigator is SeaChange's next generation client platform for telco, cable, and hybrid operators. It accelerates the creation and delivery of revenue-generating applicatons. Applications are fully customizable and can be built from the ground up to reflect the individual identity of the network operator and the capabilities of the set-top box.

M-140 is a sleek, small, fanless, and cost-effective MPEG2 and H.264 set-top box for IPTV and Video-On-Demand applications. With wireless (802.11g) interfaces, it provides flexible and cost-effective means of IPTV deployment in the home to multiple TVs without the hassle of pulling wires through concrete walls prevalent in the region. Automatic self-provisioning enables easy installation by household consumers at the touch of a button. Customers also benefit from automatic software upgrades via their broadband network.
