SeaChange Features On-Demand Television Opportunities at TelecomNEXT; Joint Demonstration with Juniper Networks Showcases Benefits of an Intelligent Network-Content Infrastructure

LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)-- March 20, 2006 -- This week at the TelecomNEXT conference and exhibition SeaChange International (Nasdaq: SEAC) will demonstrate software and systems that are providing a range of on-demand opportunities for broadband operators, including the SeaChange Game Now management system, one of the new applications operating on the SeaChange middleware platform.

The SeaChange Game Now system empowers broadband operators to create communities for gaming to participate in the growing multi-billion dollar video game market. Game Now is a game management system used by broadband operators that links to their VOD and back-office service through middleware to support stream-based games, client-based games and DVD-type games. These games are multiplayer, action, adventure, trivia, sports, 2D, 3D and arcade style.

SeaChange middleware, currently serving over five million homes globally, enables broadband operators to extend new on-demand and broadcast video applications to any IP-connected device. In addition to games-on-demand, the SeaChange platform is also known for its unique DVD-on-Demand application and content browser. SeaChange's open application programming interfaces and industry standards also enable software developers to contribute compelling and valuable applications to the on-demand and IPTV experience.

"While pursuing the triple-play, operators can introduce new and truly differentiating video services that consumers want," said Anne L. Coulombe, director of product marketing for middleware and games, SeaChange. "TV-based games have a proven audience, proven potential, and can be deployed today. SeaChange makes this a seamless addition to on-demand services."

Continued leadership in on-demand collaboration

SeaChange software and systems empower millions of homes globally to enjoy movies, television programs and other content whenever they want. During TelecomNEXT, the Company will collaborate with Juniper Networks - a leader in enabling secure, assured communications over a single IP network - to demonstrate an intelligent network-content infrastructure for delivering an assured quality of experience for IPTV. Located in the Juniper Networks booth (349), a SeaChange VOD System and System Resource Manager, integrated with Juniper Networks SDX-300 Service Deployment System, will stream television content to Amino settop boxes running SeaChange middleware.

The TelecomNEXT conference and exhibition continues through Wednesday, March 22 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Visit www.telecom-next.com.
