SCIO Health Analytics Achieves Oracle Validated Integration with Oracle Healthcare FoundationWEST HARTFORD, Conn., Feb. 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- SCIO Health Analytics™, a Gold-level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of SCIOVantage with Oracle Healthcare Foundation. With this integration, a more streamlined approach to managing population health and provider network performance is available to healthcare organizations. To achieve Oracle Validated Integration, Oracle partners are required to meet a stringent set of requirements that are based on the needs and priorities of the customers. The integration will enable hospitals and health systems to draw clinical and other robust datasets (such as behavioral data) directly from Oracle Healthcare Foundation into SCIOVantage. This process will eliminate the need to alter the data first, giving clients more immediate access to their data so they can run advanced modeling and predictive analytics while ensuring greater data integrity. "Healthcare organizations have terabytes and even petabytes of patient, financial, behavioral, socio-economic, and other data stored in their systems," said Rose Higgins, president, North America for SCIO Health Analytics. "One of the significant challenges they face, however, is getting the data out of their databases in a way that will help frontline decision-makers gain the understanding that results in change. Our team worked hard to earn the Oracle Validated Integration designation, and we are thrilled to be able to offer this value to healthcare organizations." "Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives our healthcare customers the confidence that integration between SCIOVantage and Oracle Healthcare Foundation is functionally sound and performs as tested. This creates additional functionality for Oracle Healthcare Foundation clients as they work to achieve population health and value-based care," said Jonathan Sheldon, PhD, Global Vice President, Oracle Healthcare. With SCIOVantage, hospitals and health systems can go beyond traditional retrospective analytics and datasets. Rather than relying solely on the typical clinical, claims, or financial data, healthcare organizations can also incorporate behavioral and attitudinal data to gain deeper insights into what motivates the humans behind the numbers. They can then use this deeper 360-degree view to run predictive and prescriptive analytics to determine with greater confidence what will happen if care continues on the current path, as well as the likely outcomes of various courses of action on populations. They can also go beyond standard risk stratification of patients to more precisely determine the impactability (likelihood that an intervention will have a desired outcome) and intervenability (willingness of patients to participate actively in their own plans of care), helping them apply their limited clinical and financial resources more effectively. For those managing provider networks, SCIOVantage delivers clear insights into performance trends, outliers and areas of opportunity across the network in order to improve and standardize care and operations. It also delivers the insights required to change behaviors so needed improvements can be implemented more effectively. The result is an enhanced ability to achieve the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's Triple Aim of improving the health of populations, reducing the per capita cost and improving the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction).
