[December 07, 2009] 'SBS Broadcasting picks Divitel for multiplexing' Tweet Dec 07, 2009 (DMEUROPE via COMTEX) -- Dutch broadcasting group SBS Broadcasting is changing its signal distribution for its channels SBS 6, Net 5 and Jetix/Veronica to direct-to-home distributors (cable, satellite, DVB-T, DSL and FttH operators). From 1 January 2010, SBS Broadcasting will make its signals available in the Media Gateway in Hilversum and TeleCity2 in Amsterdam both in ASI and IP (ASI over IP) formats. These locations will be connected with the SBS facilities in Amsterdam through a redundant fibre ring. After supplying SBS Broadcasting with its own encoding platform for HD and SD earlier this year, Divitel supplied multiplexing equipment for the two locations that enable SBS Broadcasting to deliver individual programme bouquets to the various operators.
