Samsung Expands Smart Signage Lineup With Small Form-Factor, Touch-Embedded Solutions

RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. --(Business Wire)--

Further expanding its Smart Signage display lineup, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. today announced a range of small-form factor digital signage solutions to address growing demand from retailers and other businesses seeking to replace printed posters and drive increased interactivity.

"Samsung (News - Alert) is constantly looking for ways to innovate our digital signage offerings and provide businesses with new solutions for enhancing customer engagement, operational efficiency and communications," said Tod Pike, senior vice president at Samsung's Enterprise Business Division. "Our new small-form factor displays offer a simple, smart and cost-effective way for businesses to transition from static posters and take advantage of the opportunities presented by interactive and dynamic digital technology."

The new small signage solutions include:

  • The DB22D-P, a 21.5-inch Full HD commercial display rated for use up to 16-hours daily. Roughly the size of a sheet of tabloid paper, it offers a smart replacement for small static posters used in retail, public spaces or corporate environments.
  • The DB22D-T, which adds integrated touch for interactive applications. With up to 10 points of simultaneous touch, it is ideal for enhancing customer engagement and convenience, allowing guests to tap, swipe and scroll to access information.
  • The DB10D, a 10.1-inch commercial display ideal for shelf-level advertising or cash register signage in retail or meeting room signage.

Featuring the next-generation Samsung Smart Signage Platform, the new small signage displays do not require an external media player, simplifying installation and operations for a reduced total cost of ownership. With built-in WiFi (News - Alert), content can be delivered wirelessly, meaning that power is the only cabling required to drive the display. The displays also come with Samsung MagicInfo software for easy management and scheduling of content. All products feature HDMI, USB and D-Sub (analog) connectivity, external control via RS232C, and are rated for 16/7 operation.

The 22-inch models are available now, with the 10-inch display coming later this year. For more information about Samsung's Smart Signage solutions, please visit samsung.com/smartsignage, call 1-866-SAM-4BIZ or follow us on Twitter (News - Alert) @SamsungBizUSA.
