Sage unveils new version of integrated EHR and practice management system

Sage Software Healthcare has unveiled version 5.5 of its Sage Intergy, an integrated electronic health records and practice management system.

The company has said that the systems' enhancements are designed to further expand interoperability with other systems and devices; further address needs in obstetrics, pediatrics and cardiology; and streamline billing and collections, for practices.


According to the company, the enhancements to Sage Intergy EHR electronic health records include cardiac device integration, predictive orders management analysis, expanded e-prescribing capabilities, additional high-risk support and workflow enhancements within OB Chart, increased interoperability for pediatric practices, and encounter Note wizard.

Sharon Howard, senior vice president, sales and marketing at Sage, said: "The challenges our customers face in this healthcare environment are significant. Declining reimbursements and increasing regulations put increased pressures on practices every year.


"Every Sage Intergy EHR enhancement must solve a customer problem and help them to face the challenges of our healthcare environment. Remaining static is simply not an option in an industry that undergoes continuous change."
