Roger Named CFO Of Millicom

July 3, 2008 (FinancialWire) Millicom International Cellular S.A.
(NASDAQ: MICC) (Current Market Cap: US$10.27 bil.) has hired
Francois-Xavier Roger as the company's chief financial officer,
effective September 1.
Roger joins Millicom from Groupe Danone, where he served as vice
president of corporate finance since 2006 and previously as CFO for
Danone Asia from 2000 to 2005.
Millicom's current CFO, David Sach, will be leaving the company at the
end of the calendar year to pursue other opportunities.
Luxembourg-based Millicom International Cellular is a global
telecommunications group with mobile telephony operations in Asia,
Latin America and Africa. It currently has mobile operations and
licenses in sixteen countries. The group's mobile operations have a
combined population under license of around 291 million people.
