Renkim Selects Pitney Bowes AcceleJet Printing and Finishing System for Print Quality, Service and Total Cost of Ownership

Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE:PBI), a global technology company that provides innovative products and solutions to power commerce, today announced that Renkim, a leader in the financial and mission-critical documents industry for credit, collection, healthcare, automotive and insurance companies, has purchased two AcceleJet printing and finishing systems to streamline its print to mail workflow.

Based outside of Detroit, Mich., Renkim specializes in highly personalized and accurate print communications for automotive warrantee and recall notices and credit collections. The two new AcceleJet systems are central to the company's redesigned floorplan and streamlined workflow that connects their print operations to their inserting and finishing area. The new Pitney Bowes printing systems will replace seven legacy printers currently in use that require significant maintenance and multiple print operators.

"When we decided to look at inkjet for digital color, we heard great things about the AcceleJets from several trusted industry colleagues," said Henry Lenden, Director of Operations at Renkim. "We were very impressed with the print quality and the minimal maintenance and labor the new systems require. By streamlining our print to mail workflow with the AcceleJets, we will be able to turn jobs quicker and at a lower cost per piece. Our goal is to create more impactful communications for our customers and grow our business. The AcceleJet helps us do that."

The AcceleJet is an innovative roll to cut-sheet printing solution that provides a simple, cost-effective path to 100% variable data color inkjet at a cost comparable to many monochrome otions. It is ideal for mid-sized transactional mail operations with a monthly print volume of one to ten million impressions. The system combines high quality color output, integrated finishing and dynamic perforation. Customer communications are transformed into personalized pieces - creating greater impact with bills, statements, enrollment forms and offers.

"Pitney Bowes welcomes Renkim to the AcceleJet family," said Jason Dies, President, Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies. "Already a valued client for their inserting operations, we are delighted they have chosen to redesign their print operations with the AcceleJet systems. Connecting print and mail with one trusted partner will bring greater value and operational efficiencies to Renkim. They are in a highly specialized market and they are investing in the best technology available to better serve their existing clients and to grow their business."

"Our experience in terms of Pitney Bowes service has been outstanding. We have a dedicated service person on site for our Pitney Bowes inserting equipment. It just makes sense to partner with them on the print side too," Lenden added.

Pitney Bowes offers the industry's broadest range of inkjet format sizes, with a portfolio that includes the AcceleJet, IntelliJet 20 HD, IntelliJet 30, and IntelliJet 42 HD. The AcceleJet printing and finishing system will be featured at this year's Print 17 industry conference in Chicago, September 10-14.
