Raw Science Launches New Multimedia Network to Capture Science & Tech Audience

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--

A new digital media startup, Raw Science (RawScience.tv), today publicly launched the first multi-platform online network to meet the rapidly growing demand for intelligent content in the realms of science and tech.

Raw Science offers on-demand videos, pay-per-view films, news and original programming, specifically focused on the most relevant scientific discoveries and technological achievements affecting our lives today - showcasing the science and the people behind the science. The new platform delivers content directly over the Internet on any digital device - anytime, anywhere.

"We believe fans of science and technology programming have grown weary of gadget mania, alien cover ups and shark feeding frenzies, as well as filtering through hundreds of videos and news stories to find the most pertinent to their interests," explained CEO Keri Kukral, who co-founded Raw Science with Chief Architect, Raj Singh (News - Alert). "The Raw Science audience is smart, tech savvy, loves science and technology and wants more in-depth, fact-based and intelligent material directly from the world's top scientists, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs."

Raw Science has also built a platform where content producers and filmmakers can present their work directly to the consumer, thereby bypassing the gatekeepers and heavy tolls traditionally associated with large, established media distribution companies, with the goal of expanding the Sci/Tech media market.

CEO Kukral has compiled a team with premier access and extensive experience in the fields of science, technology, media, entertainment and live events. Mitchell Block, Producer/Director of Academy and Emmy Award Winning and nominated works, will serve as Executive Director of Programming. Rob McClinton, formerly at GoTo/Overture, will lead sales. Lngtime science communicator Donald Goldsmith will serve as Science Editor, and Josh Fruhlinger leads the digital content team. Music is arranged by Brian Allen Simon in collaboration with Actor/Director Paul Adelstein.

As its first VOD title Raw Science is offering "Particle Fever," the acclaimed documentary about the search for the 'God Particle'. Revenue from VOD will be used to fund more original, high-quality science programming.

Raw Science will publish and distribute content, news & features in six fields: Air & Space, Water, Earth, Biology, Mind, and Digital - with themes easily categorized on selected menu bars. Each month will also feature a theme and October 2014 is focused on Energy, with exclusive original features on thorium, nuclear energy, dark matter and neutrinos, and Raw Science's first VOD feature film, "Particle Fever".
