Qumu Announces Integration with Elemental


Qumu (NASDAQ: QUMU), the leading business video platform provider, today announced a partnership with Elemental Technologies, the leading supplier of software-defined video solutions for multiscreen content delivery. The partnership introduces the Qumu Live Encoder, a real-time encoding system based on the Elemental® Live platform that is fully integrated with Qumu's business video platform.

The joint solution is already satisfying corporate live streaming needs in several verticals including financial, oil and gas, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and professional services. For customers that currently have Elemental Live encoders in their production environment, Qumu also offers an integration package that enables the addition of those encoders to an existing Video Control Center architecture.

The Qumu Live Encoder provides real-time video processing for live streaming to the Qumu Video Control Center. The software-based solution, powered by Elemental Live, performs simultaneous processing of multiple video outputs, delivering the high-quality, high-efficiency performance required for formatting live video for any device. The Qumu Live Encoder is designed to integrate seamlessly into the Video Control Center video delivery workflow, with the flexibility to evolve as technology requires. Live Encoder provides flexible input options from HD-SDI and HDMI inputs to both local file and HLS or MPEG Transport Stream network inputs.
