PWC: COS CUT SECURITY SPENDING DESPITE BREACHES


(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) A survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) reveals that information security budgets of Indian companies declined by 17 percent to $4 million in 2014 from $4.8 million in 2013. However, business losses due to security breaches increased by 20 percent, while the average cost due to security incidents more than doubled to $414 from $194.
