PVJapan 2012 Addresses Critical Challenges as Japan Moves to Large-Scale PV Power Generation(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TOKYO, Oct. 23 -- The Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International issued the following news release: PVJapan 2012, the leading photovoltaic exhibition in Japan, will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on December 5-7. "Implementation of the Feed-in Tariff system on July 1, 2012 has led to a booming photovoltaic power generation business in Japan. Traditionally, power generation for residential systems accounted for more than 80 percent of total systems. However, since July we have observed a significant increase in non-residential use, ranging from tens of kilowatts to the megawatt class," said Hisao Kayaoka, secretary general of JPEA. "Against the backdrop of these circumstances, exhibitors at PVJapan 2012 are well prepared to work with international buying teams that want to take advantage of these real business opportunities." The PVJapan conference will provide an international forum for PV manufacturers, equipment and materials suppliers, project planners and industry. Fifteen sessions focus on market trends, business opportunities in developing countries and the solar power generation business, as well as technology-focused sessions on thin-film, next generation, and crystalline silicon solar cells; materials and reliability; and a SEMI PV Standards Introductory Workshop. Downstream sessions include Installation/ Construction-related Technology; Electricity System Technology; Certification for Installers and Guidelines for PV Systems; Planning and Design of Non-Residential Grid-Connected PV Systems; Application for Residential PV System Subsidies; Procedures of Registration and Approval for PV Systems and Certification System for Qualified Installers.
