This project entails website migration, updating of Joomla platform software and coding, SEO, redesign of the site, and the creation of a new module/interface for real time bus route data to be uploaded to the website. Project Description - Scope of Work MAX is a small urban public transit system operating fixed route and demand response bus service to the residents of the Holland/Zeeland area. Our transit system ridership will reach 500,000 this year and is experiencing double digit growth. In 2007, MAX developed its own website on a proprietary Sage platform as the Transit Authority became independent and separate from the City of Holland. Four years later, the website was redesigned and moved to a standard Joomla platform and content and pages were added. Being nearly four years old, the website is again in need of upgrading and refreshing. This project is a three (3) year contract with the option to renew for two additional years. The project will involve the migration of the existing MAX website to the successful vendor s server, and upgrading the Joomla software and coding. Proposers are required to be able to provide service and support of the Joomla platform. The selected web firm also will collaborate with MAX staff to create a new layout and design (up to four variations) that reinforces and consistently communicates the agency s brand, and assist with web page architecture, and navigation. The selected firm will be responsible for populating the new website with digital images and content in the form of Word documents provided by MAX staff. The web firm will be responsible for site enhancements including mobile responsive design, integration of social media feeds on home page, and Google plug-in for English/Spanish translations. Additionally, the existing modules on the current website must be functional and optimized, and SEO will be required. These include the VirtuMart online store (with PayPal interface), the Work Opportunities employment center, and the Contact Us email interface.
