This latest release offers several enhancements to help businesses become even more productive with support for large scale data management. In addition, benchmark testing has shown that the OpenEdge platform has near linear scalability with up to 30,000 simultaneous users. Because its development environment is built upon the recently upgraded Eclipse 3.2 standard, developers can seamlessly extend the OpenEdge platform to other common development tools. Enhanced object-oriented capabilities in ABL (Advanced Business Language), Progress' 4GL programming language, improve code reuse and assure better interoperability with other object oriented applications.
