Prime Image Expands Leadership Team with New Executive Appointments


CHALFONT, Pa. --(Business Wire)--

Prime Image, the industry leader for video time optimization solutions, announced today the appointment of two new executives, following the recent announcement of Dave Whalen as CEO and Al Snyder as Board Vice Chairman. The new appointments will strengthen the company's operational excellence, customer intimacy, and strategic direction.

The new executive appointments are:

  • Gary Gatchell, Chief Financial Officer
  • Kevin Wagner, Corporate Development Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development

Executive biographies:

Gary Gatchell

Gary Gatchell has extensive experience in executive leadership roles across public and private companies. Most recently he was Chief Financial Offcer for Iofina, plc, a listed company in United Kingdom, which is a technology leader in the production of iodine and iodine derivatives. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASTI) from 2008 to 2013. Ascent is a technology leader in the manufacture of photovoltaic modules using a differentiated thin film technology (CIGS). Prior to joining Ascent, Mr. Gatchell served as the CFO of Carrier Access Corporation, (NASDAQ: CACS, sold to Turin Networks (News - Alert)). Prior to joining Carrier Access, from 1999 to 2004, Gary served as the CFO of Voyant Technologies, a leading provider of audio conferencing equipment that was acquired by Polycom (News - Alert), and as an audit manager at KPMG.



Gary is a graduate of Colorado State University, has a Master of Accountancy degree from University of Denver (News - Alert), completed MS Finance courses at CU-Denver, is a CPA and is a member of the AICPA and CSCPA.

Kevin Wagner


Kevin Wagner brings more than 20 years of public and private technology company experience across corporate development, business development, sales, marketing and technology to Prime Image. Mr. Wagner has recently served as a consultant and advisor to a number of software-based technology companies and was previously Corporate Development Officer and SVP of Business Development at Aepona, which was acquired by Intel (News - Alert) in 2013. He brings a wealth of operational and growth experience to Prime Image where he will be responsible for new business development, strategic partnerships, new customer solutions, marketing and investor relationships.

Prior to Aepona, Kevin held leadership positions with Carrier Access, Openwave, Motorola and Cadence Design Systems (News - Alert). Mr. Wagner holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kansas and received his MBA from University of Dallas, Graduate School of Management.
