The company said this allows EMC customers to fully leverage their big data investments by adding compelling and easy to use predictive capabilities with their Hadoop solutions and establishes Predixion Software as the leading enterprise standard for the deployment of predictive analytics solutions on Hadoop. After a beta trial period, Predixion Software will offer an integrated Apache Mahout-based stack containing all the components necessary for production use, thereby lowering the technical bar for companies wanting predictive analytics capabilities with their Hadoop big data. Predixion said it has created Excel-based modeling solutions and an automated deployment framework designed to simplify the process of creating, sharing, and collaborating on models across an enterprise, automating predictions directly from source data to portals or business applications, and squeezing complexity out of the end user experience, resulting in self-service predictive analytics.
