Pensmore Software Offers Support for Apple Pay [Professional Services Close - Up]

(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Pensmore Software said it will now be providing the ability to accept payments with Apple Pay.

According to a company release, for three years Pensmore has been giving small business owners across the country the ability to accept payments through applications such as QuickBooks and now, Apple Pay can also be accepted by any business using their payment applications.

"Pensmore has been preparing for a leader to emerge in the mobile payments space and had hoped Apple would step into this leadership role. We are ready to enable any and all of the small businesses located on America's main streets to work with this new technology," said Jeff White, CEO at Pensmore. "Why should all of the big box stores and fast food chains have all of the fun? We think the real key to adoption of this technology will be realized inside the mom and pop shops on America's main streets." "Since we already built our technology to support NFC, we are able to bring a product to market quickly to support Apple Pay. Now we just need people to purchase the new iPhone and start making payments," said Todd Youngblood, VP of Product Marketing at Pensmore.

"The face of payments is changing once again from everyone paying with a credit card, to more and more people wanting to pay with their smart phones and other tech-enabled devices. We are in an exciting time in the payments space and we look forward to being at the fore front of change in the payments technology tide," said Youngblood. "Continuing to focus on innovative payment technologies allows for endless opportunities for Pensmore."
