Patton & VoIP Supply Go Rogue: Renegade PBX Now Certified Interoperable with SmartNode

Patton Electronics-US manufacturer of UC, cloud, and IoT enabling solutions for carrier, enterprise and industrial networks-has tested and certified the Renegade IP-PBX (News - Alert) appliance from VoIP Supply for interoperability with the entire SmartNode product line of VoIP gateways, routers, integrated access devices (IADs), and enterprise session border controllers (eSBCs).

Today's announcement is the latest episode in Patton's (News - Alert) extensive interoperability certification program. The company likes to call its SmartNode product line the "world's most interoperable" line of VoIP CPE.

"VoIP Supply is excited to partner with Patton," said Paula Griffo, President and CFO of VoIP Supply, "because we share the same vision and standard of quality."

In connection with the formal certification, VoIP Supply is now offering Patton's SmartNode 5300 enterprise session border controller (eSBC) as part of an All-IP phone system in a box for small-office/small-business communications: the RenegadePBX mini Bundle.

"This bundle provides a full VoIP solution for the SMB market that eliminates shopping around. The solution offers seamless communication with all hardware and software components allowing for use of all features," Paula Griffo said.

Priced slightly above $2,000, the RenegadePBX mini Bundle solution comes with ten VoIP phones, system set-up and provisioning service from VoIP Supply, plus a free month of SIP-trunking service from a VoIP provider hand-picked as ideal for each customer.

The Renegade mini-appliance is a small-form-factor IP PBX (11" x 9" x 3" in size and weighing only 3.8 pounds) that supports up to 100 extensions and 75 concurrent SIP phone calls.

In related news, last week Patton announced a new series of VoIP gateways and eSBCs for small offices that address demand for FXS and BRI legacy-device integration with All-IP business communications and UCC.
