OurStage Ramps up Exposure for Emerging Musicians in July


BOSTON --(Business Wire)-- OurStage, www.ourstage.com, the only 100% democratic online competition where the fans decide who's best in emerging music and film, has announced multiple high-profile performances, showcases, and prizes for its high-ranking musicians in July. The company has partnered with Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival, Virgin Festival By Virgin Mobile, Starbucks Music Maker Competition, CMJ Music Marathon, and 1st Bay Area Indie Music Festival to offer a total of 14 different showcases to promising OurStage musicians in July. In addition, OurStage joined hands with leading retailers Gibson for rehearsal time and BC Ethic for a complete band wardrobe for the July Music Grand Prize Winner on OurStage.



Two high-ranking acoustic/signer/songwriter OurStage artists will be selected to play the Virgin Festival By Virgin Mobile at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, August 4-5; three high-ranking OurStage bands will play Bumbershoot, Sept 1-3; one high-ranking band will play CMJ Music Marathon in October; and one OurStage band will play at the First Bay Area Music Festival (August 25th), while seven New England performers will be joining other promising artists from the region throughout August at various Starbucks locations for the Starbucks Music Makers competition.

The winner, if a band, will receive a BC Ethic wardrobe of approximately three items each and if a solo artist - five pieces of BC Ethic trendy clothing. And through its partnership with Gibson, OurStage is excited to offer five high-ranking artists a complimentary 4-hour studio rehearsal session at the Gibson Entertainment Showroom in New York City, formerly the legendary Hit Factory.
