There are major pitfalls looming for any company that relies on online testing of their worldwide toll and toll-free telephone numbers. These pitfalls negatively impact business operations and profitability. Avoiding them at all costs is essential.

Online (cloud) Testing – Online testing makes inbound test calls from the cloud to an in-country telephone number. Online testing of worldwide toll and toll-free telephone numbers is limited to landline (fixed) networks only, is only available in 40 countries, and cannot simulate the in-country user experience because test calls are cloud based to that country; NOT outbound in-country test calls. They can only detect a switch to switch connection because it is NOT end-to-end testing. These test results are inaccurate, and despite the ever growing worldwide dependency on mobile phones, mobile testing is not possible.

Even though today’s economy seems to be running in the cloud, online testing is the least reliable option for delivering high quality worldwide telecommunications. As a result of flawed online testing, customers are faced with failed calls, destroyed sales efforts & campaigns, wasted employee time, and lost revenues.

In a recent survey, 1st Financial Training Services reported that 96% of unhappy customers don’t complain, however 91% of those will simply leave and never come back. A Garter Survey showed 85% of customers are dissatisfied with their telecommunications experience with 92% of all customer interactions occurring via telephone.

Completed calls and the in-country customer experience needs to be the priority; not the cost of testing - you get what you pay for. In-Country live testing requires testers placing calls on local landline & mobile networks. It’s the most reliable testing benchmark because only this testing simulates the in-country user experience, and detects in-country call quality and/or quality of service issues.

For global companies whose day-to-day business operations depends on successful worldwide collaboration (conferencing, calls, faxes, etc.), it is imperative that their worldwide telephone numbers are fully operational and can deliver consistent positive results.

Global Telecom Testing (GTT) performs in-country live testing from landline & mobile networks in 210 Countries. GTT’s local testers make live test calls from their country using local landline & mobile networks in order to verify that telephone numbers, IVR Platforms, SMS, DTMF, and passcodes are operational. GTT also provides rapid in-country service issue resolution.

Detailed Call Display Records are generated for each test call made by GTT’s technicians which explains whether any service issue(s) are a carrier related problem or are an in-country issue. Common quality of service issues discovered by GTT’s in-country live testing are improper carrier provisioning, improper passcode designation, improper message authentication, echo, static, post dial delay, network inaccessibility, and carrier activation failures.

The testing performed by GTT is performed by local testers guaranteeing performance at a level that cannot be achieved through online testing. We use humans to test, NOT machines! About Global Telecom Testing, LLC GTT was founded in 2007 specifically to address the needs that the worldwide telecom industry and corporate end-users have been facing. They have been in desperate need of a reliable local presence to in-country, live, quality assurance test. The testing performed by GTT guarantees accuracy at a level that cannot be achieved through any other testing methods.

Originally we offered only one testing product in a handful of countries. Today, we offer multiple testing solutions in 210 Countries to a broad range of customers.
