Oce Offers the Latest Version of Oce PRISMAsatellite for Office Software
TRUMBULL, Conn. --(Business Wire)-- Oce North America, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announced today the availability of the most recent version of Oce PRISMAsatellite(R) for Office software. Part of the integrated Oce PRISMA(TM) workflow software series, Oce PRISMAsatellite for Office software allows customers to better utilize their printing assets, significantly reduce the IT workload in offices and shrink overall printing costs. The unique universal driver automatically chooses the most economical device, sends the job to that printer and informs the user which device the document has been sent to. Oce PRISMAsatellite software eliminates the necessity for individual print drivers and makes for more productive end users. "With the newest version of Oce PRISMAsatellite for Office software, customers can have a truly unique and reliable way to reduce costs and increase office productivity," said John Reilly, Vice President Product & BPC Operations, Oce North America, Document Printing Systems. "This software brings businesses the most up-to-date methods by which to monitor and manage expenses while simplifying printing processes."
Results-oriented printing
Oce PRISMAsatellite for Office creates a cohesive corporate approach capable of supporting both Oce and non-Oce devices by creating a solitary point of document management. Printing activity is improved through an automatic routing of jobs to the device which is best suited to the particulars of the job specified by the user and further notification to the user where and when the document has been completed. This software additionally imparts the power of Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) software to convert to PDF format for routing or storage.
Universal driver makes printing simpler
While using Oce PRISMAsatellite software, users are no longer hampered with the task of acquiring and installing separate print drivers to work with several devices; the universal driver works with a multitude of printers in the office and requires only one installation. The distribution of a host of incongruent drivers by IT is completely eliminated, leaving time for IT to focus on other central business functions. Print jobs are sent to devices using a set of highly customizable conventions that are based on the document attributes instead of device functions, while access to all devices is always available to users. The Personal Document Space is an additional feature that provides users with private, convenient and centralized monitoring and storing of jobs. The ability to quickly manage documents with little to no effort will result in higher efficiency.
