O2 selects Best Buy to offer Universal SIMCard and recharge cards in US

UK-based O2 Wireless, a mobile vitual network operator offered by Locus Telecommunications, has signed a deal with American retailer Best Buy, to offer its Universal SIMCard and O2 Wireless airtime recharge cards in 1,150 Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile stores, Best Buy kiosks and online at BestBuy.com.



Pete Grubb, vice president of sales and marketing at Locus Telecommunications, said: "The relationship with Best Buy is a very important partnership for O2 Wireless. It provides access to our simple, flexible, carrier-grade service offering to millions of budget-conscious Americans who are looking for any way to save money in this difficult economy and provides a service that addresses the need of wireless consumers at all life-stages and income levels. This service is well positioned for international travelers, visiting the US, who are looking for a cost-effective way to stay in touch with family members back home."
