Nutanix Momentum Accelerates in EMEA With Expansion of Channel Program
LONDON, Nov 27, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Nutanix (www.nutanix.com), the leader in converged infrastructure
solutions for virtualised workloads, today announced the expansion of
its channel partner network across EMEA. As part of its expansion
strategy, Nutanix has announced new partner agreements with
virtualisation, cloud and storage specialists, including Mason IT,
Nugensis and Viadex in the UK. In the rest of the EMEA region,
Nutanix has also signed Telindus-ISIT in The Netherlands, Layer8 in
Sweden and TargoSoft in Germany, bringing the total number of
partners to over 20.
Nutanix's innovative solution collapses the conventional two-tiered
data centre design of storage and compute down to one single scalable
appliance, delivering the world's first flash-accelerated datacentre,
capable of hosting thousands of virtualised workloads without the
need for a SAN.
Alan Campbell, Director, Nutanix EMEA, stated, "Since announcing our
partnership with SDG as our pan-EMEA distributor, we have seen a
surge of partners coming on board. Our partner program has a
low-barrier to entry and we provide highly competitive margins, along
with sales, technical and marketing support. While we are not looking
for mass numbers, we are extremely pleased with the number of
focused, specialist virtualisation and cloud partners joining our
partner network."
"Nutanix is enabling organisations of any size to implement a highly
virtualised and flexible environment by lowering the barriers to
entry," said Roy Illsley Principal Analyst at Ovum. "With virtual
workloads increasing year on year and the cost of a SAN impacting
many organisations' budgets, Nutanix Cluster is a solution that is
not limited by organisational size. Ovum considers it suitable for
both SME and Enterprises alike and it is not surprised that channel
partners are looking to sign with Nutanix."
Supporting Quotes from Partners
Paul Ecclestone, Managing Director, SDG EMEA - "Nutanix offers a
unique proposition for both virtual desktop workloads and private
cloud. Being an innovator in cloud offerings, we are delighted at SDG
to see the momentum that we are jointly creating in the market for
Nutanix solutions. The level of interest, and partner signings, are
testament to acceptance of this unique solution in the EMEA region."
Wesley Mezzone, Director, Mason IT - "We are both a partner and
customer of Nutanix. We offer their solutions to our customers that
need a converged compute and storage offering on their own premises.
We are also using Nutanix Cluster within our own datacentres for our
cloud service offerings. Nutanix provides scale, performance and
flexibility at a competitive price point."
Dan Hayden-Hammond, Sales Director, Viadex - "At Viadex, we are seen
as a technology partner to our clients and it's our job to ensure we
stay ahead of the technology curve. We see Nutanix as a 'missing
link' in the server and storage virtualisation market. By converging
compute and storage into one appliance, Nutanix fills a gap in our
offerings."
