Novation Announces Product Categories for Period 1 National Group Buys Program

Novation today announced its Period 1 National Group Buys, available January 1 through March 31, 2016, which offer significant savings and value-added benefits in 25 product categories to the more than 100,000 members and affiliates of VHA Inc., UHC, Children's Hospital Association and Provista. The National Group Buys program is one of several innovative programs from Novation designed to deliver additional savings to the members it serves.

Toshiba (News - Alert), the Period 1 featured supplier, is offering significant savings on their diagnostic imaging equipment. Their group buy categories include: angiography/cardiovascular systems, computed tomography equipment, MRI equipment, radiology/fluoroscopy systems, and ultrasound systems.

Group Buys for Period 1 include 25 categories as well as several first-time participating suppliers, two extended offerings from Period 4 and much more. Examples of Period 1 opportunities include savings off contract for:

• Purchased services value from BVK Direct Inc., Green Security LLC., TruAcuity, Inc. and NOVAPLUS Clean Harbor Environmental Services
• Environmental/facilities management offering from Garratt-Callahan Company and W.W. Grainger Inc.
• NOVAFOOD Breakfast Promotion for select items from Aryzta, Florida's Natural Growers, General Mills, Kellogg's and U.S. Foods
• Other new category offerings include Corpak MedSystems Inc, Ecolab, Medfare Inc, and Chicken of the Sea
• Hologic Inc. for bone densitometry diagnostic imaging equipment and NOVAPLUS Medicore Supply for phlebotomy products (extended offerings)

During this period, Group Buy suppliers may also offer value in the form of extended warranties, special financing rates, rebates, leasing options, service discounts, upgrade value, shipping and installation waived, staff in-servicing and flexible delivery dates and payment terms. Since in 2005, members and affiliates served by Novation have saved more than $1.1 billion across 126 product categories including over $271 million in savings in 2015.
