[November 05, 2009] Nortel using Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud to offer enterprises the opportunity to trial its communications applications portfolio Tweet Nov 05, 2009 (CORPORATE IT UPDATE via COMTEX) -- Nortel (OTC: NRTQL) is providing enterprises with on-demand access to its portfolio of unified communications-based applications to allow them to trial the applications with a view to adoption. The portal will also serve as a knowledge base for the developer community and allow developers a platform to create and test combining enterprise assets with Nortel and Amazon Web Services (AWS) enabled solutions. Nortel is using AWS to extend the Nortel Developer Program, which has long welcomed commercial companies seeking to create products for sale to mutual Nortel customers, as well as existing Nortel customers seeking to develop customised applications and/or integrations for their own internal use.
