NoMachine Announces the Immediate Availability of Version 6LUXEMBOURG, Nov. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- NoMachine, a leader in cross-platform remote computing solutions, today announced the official release of NoMachine 6 which introduces a series of exciting new enhancements, including a revamp of its product families available for Windows, macOS and Linux. A new Cloud Server product, a streamlined Linux Terminal Server family and the addition of the functionality of browser-based access to the entire enterprise-oriented range are just some of the exciting additions users can experience with this major software update. Cloud Server 6, available for Windows, Mac and Linux, converges access to all other NoMachine servers and remote foreign hosts and sits at the top of the NoMachine product hierarchy in the eponymous product suite. Whereas in previous versions remote desktop access via the browser had been offered in Cloud Server, web-based access has now been extended to all products of the enterprise-oriented range, permitting users connecting from clientless endpoints to access the desktop environment via any HTML-enabled browser. This new capability can be leveraged by customers through a simple software update of their existing NoMachine deployments. To facilitate choice for those organizations looking to provide remote access to hosted Linux desktop and applications, the functionality of Linux virtual desktop is now exclusive to the Linux Terminal Server family with Enterprise Terminal Server at the helm. This replaces both Enterprise Server and Cloud Server for Linux in version 5 (or earlier) which could run virtual Linux desktop sessions as well as leverage multi-node capabilities. Now, Enterprise Terminal Server offers load-balancing of Terminal Server Nodes and fail-over as its predecessors did with the additional bonus of browser-based access. Gaspare Tripi, general manager of NoMachine, said: "With version 6 we wanted to simplify theusability and manageability of our software, not just innovate. It was an opportunity to streamline the naming hierarchy as well as introduce some exciting changes. Repositioning the Cloud Server permitted us to extend web-based access to our other products, thus adding further value to our product offering." NoMachine 6 also introduces the following enhancements: Support for H.264 codec in WebRTC sessions Easily toggle your desktop's sharing availability Raspberry support Enhancements to clustered servers and failback mechanisms Automatic reconnection Automatic detection of a proxy server More information about NoMachine 6 is available here: www.nomachine.com/what-s-new-in-nomachine.
