Niues high commissioner to New Zealand confirmed

Niues Public Service Commission has confirmed the re-appointment of Sisilia Talagi as the Islands high commissioner to New Zealand, reports Radio New Zealand International.

Ms Talagi has been the High Commissioner based in Wellington for the past three years.
She is a former secretary to government and is reported to have won the appointment over six other applicants from Niue and New Zealand.



Meanwhile, Niue has a new director of telecoms.
He is Tutuli Heka former technical manager of Niue telecoms who replaces Richard Hipa who has been appointed secretary to government.

The Niue Public Service Commission has also confirmed the appointments of Colin Harding, as operations manager at Hanan International Airport, and Frank Sioneholo as head of the department of economic and trade and investment.
