Nexus Names Kimberly Luckey as Illinois Development Director

Nexus, a leading provider of solutions for youth and family struggling with emotional and behavioral issues, has named Kimberly Ann Luckey as its Director of Development for Illinois.

Luckey was selected after a nationwide search and brings a wealth of experience in fundraising for youth mental health providers. She will lead fundraising efforts for Nexus' Illinois sites, which include: Indian Oaks Academy in Manteno, Ill., and Onarga Academy in Onarga, Ill. The two sites serve boys and girls from Chicago, greater Illinois, and from throughout the nation, who struggle with emotional and behavioral issues.

"I believe in the power of youth, and I know that the services Indian Oaks and Onarga Academies provide can help kids and families find a brighter future," Luckey said.

Luckey will work with individuals, foundations and corporations to raise funds that support new programming, enhance the sites' physical plants, and provide extras that kids in treatment don't receive through government funding, such as prom rentals, Christmas gifts, and art and activities.

"We're pleased to welcome Luckey to our development team," said Jack Ewing, Nexus Vice President of Business Development. "Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the youth mental health industry is a great asset for Nexus."

Indian Oaks Academy is a provider of residential treatment, transitional living programs, group home programs, independent living programs, inpatient care, foster care support services, juvenile justice diversion programming, and LGBTQ youth support and networking programs. The site serves boys and girls, ages 12-21, and their families.

Onarga Academy is a provider of residential treatment, transitional living programs, group home programs, independent living programs, therapeutic foster care, and chemical health programs. The site serves adolescent males, ages 11-20, and their families.
