New CEO and President Appointed at Questar CapitalQuestar Capital? Corporation has named Sherri DuMond as Chief Executive Officer and promoted Scott Carlson to President, National Sales Director. Carlson will report to DuMond. With a long career dedicated to the growth, education and development of financial firms and advisors, DuMond brings a wealth of leadership experience in sales management, field supervision, wholesaling, and product sales and marketing. She most recently was senior vice president and head of distribution training for Allianz Life overseeing product and sales education for all distribution channels, including Questar Capital. Over her nearly 25 years in the financial services industry, she has held various leadership roles at Securian, Minnesota Life, Minnesoa Mutual and North Star Resource Group. DuMond received her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis. Carlson was most recently a divisional vice president in Questar Capital leading a 12-state territory with approximately 180 registered representatives. He also has had more than 20 years of field leadership experience at Woodbury Financial Services, including leading sales and supervision on a national level. In 2014, Questar Capital earned the first-place ranking and broker/dealer of the year award from Investment Advisor magazine in the category of broker/dealers with 500 to 999 registered representatives.
