Network Box unveils web content filtering engine supporting Google Safe Search and Google Safe Browsing

(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Managed security company Network Box Ltd has announced the beta release
of its web content filtering technology to support Google Safe Search
and Google Safe Browsing.

According to Network Box, the new functionality will be added to its
range of unified threat management (UTM) products to help businesses
implement protection against Internet threats, and prevent web pages
with inappropriate content from appearing in search engine results.

The company will reportedly provide its customers with an additional
content filtering engine that uses Google's Safe Browsing system to
check URL requests against Google's blacklist of suspected phishing and
malware infested web pages. The web filter categories will be added to
Network Box's existing anti-virus and anti-phishing solution, which
uses Kaspersky and Clam AV to inspect pages for malicious content.

In addition, it will be possible to configure the solution so that it
implements the filter on Google search engine searches and enables safe
searching, which will complement the SurfControl database Network Box
currently deploys to protect users from inappropriate content, the
company said.

No pricing details were disclosed.
