Nepalese and Afghan professionals get trained in India in Information Technology [Asian News International](Asian News International Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) New Delhi, July 28 (ANI): Many Nepalese and Afghan professional and government employees are undergoing training in Information Technology under the ITEC Fellowship programme here. The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme is run by CMC limited under the sponsorship of the Ministry of External Affairs. The short term advanced course offered to the Nepalese and Afghan professional in software and hardware training are Red Hat certification, CCNA associate degree, Cloud competing and ITIL. The main objective of ITEC fellowship programme to broaden the spectrum of knowledge with enhanced skills by providing capacity building at an individual and collective level. Nepalese and Afghans gets an opportunity to learn from the cutting edge professionals in CMC with special inputs including English speaking skills, networking, hardware and software skills, languages etc. The Government of India facilitates more than 8,000 students every year from across the world, including those from Afghanistan and Nepal. "CMC is privileged and honored to be associated with ITEC and SCCAP programme for almost 25 years. By now we have trained 8,000 IT professionals, other civilian, mid-level officers from host of countries, in fact 161 countries practically covering every continent in this world," said Mr Raman of Learning and development function, CMC. CMC is associated with ITEC fellowship programme for the last 25 years. "We try to give them inputs both based on their collective needs as well as individual needs. Therefore the programme is individualistic as well as meeting the needs of that group and this has been highly appreciated over the years and I am sure we will continue to get positive and encouraging feedback including our neighboring countries like Nepal and also Afghanistan" added Raman. The professionals from Nepal are thrilled by the skilled training in Information Technology. "The learning technique is very much practical best here. It's very good. Right now I am working in an IT firm in Nepal. This technique, which I am learning here, will be highly beneficial when I go back to my country", said, Vivek Mansingh, IT professional, Kathmandu, Nepal. Vivek Mansing is keen in applying the advanced learning technique in his profession. "We are getting an accommodation in a hotel; hotel is very good the classrooms are very good. We are getting monthly allowance of IC 25,000 per month. The accommodation is very good," said the IT professional. Such training programmes to Nepal professionals, it is felt, will help bring the two neighbours closer. "As you know Afghanistan has lost everything during the past 13 years of war and after the collapse of Taliban, the world paid attention to our Afghanistan and more than 50 countries came in Afghanistan and one of those countries is Indian government which is one of the best country who has helped us past 13 years of war," said, Abdul Mattin Azizi, IT teacher, Civil Service institute, Afghanistan. Abdul Mattin expressed his gratitude for the help from India in rebuilding their nation. "More than 6,000 people came here to build their capacity and learnt lot of things and went back to Afghanistan. I am teacher; I came here and when I go back to Afghanistan I will teach every year more than hundred people in Afghanistan and that's the advantage for the people of Afghanistan," added Azizi. There are many government officials from Afghanistan who have come to India to hone their skills in Information Technology. Mr. Tahiri is working in the Ministry of borders and Tribal Affairs. "What I learn in computer skills and when I go back to my country it will help me a lot for rebuilding the nation especially for my department, the Ministry where I am working now. It will help a lot and it will be useful," he said. "It gives them unique opportunity to build their individual skills and therefore also as a collective help in nation building for the respective nations like Afghanistan and Nepal which are at early stage of development in using IT for governmental purposes and developmental purposes," said Raman of Learning and development function, CMC. India provides training to Afghan professionals in various spheres, including defence. It immensely helps Afghanistan to recover from the decades of war. Primarily, these inputs help in governmental operations because these are officials who work in governmental departments in respective countries .
